3 Minute 10 Key Test
Type each ledger row and press Enter to commit. Scored in KPH too.

You left the window, so the clock stopped. Ready when you are.
Why 180 seconds of keypad work?
One lucky minute can flatter a shaky operator. Three minutes cannot. The 3 minute 10 key test follows the standard hiring pattern for accounting and data entry roles: long enough that rhythm matters more than reflexes, short enough to fit a screening session. You will type continuous worksheet rows — amounts with commas, decimals, currency and signs — committing each with Enter.
Accuracy is scored per keystroke and KPH is calculated from your sustained rate, so a run that starts fast and ends sloppy scores like what it is. Your results page replays the session second by second and highlights the digits that cost you the most.
Roles that ask for this score
Accounts payable and receivable clerks, payroll administrators, billing staff, inventory controllers and market research data entry. If a listing says “minimum 9,000 KPH with 98% accuracy,” practise here until three clean runs prove it, then print the certificate for your application pack.
Holding KPH over three minutes
Sit close enough to keep your elbow angle relaxed, and anchor lightly with the heel of your hand. Commit rows with a soft thumb tap rather than a jab. If accuracy dips, drop speed for ten seconds and reset — a brief calm patch is cheaper than a trail of corrections. Track your three-minute KPH weekly; steady beats heroic.
